The Hart County Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Christmas Parade at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8.

The theme for the floats this year is “Christmas Village” and a prize will be given to the best decorated float.
The parade will begin at the old Bells Shopping Center at the corner of Athens Street and Ga. Highway 51. The route of the parade will be the same as previous years, but the line-up process in the parking lot will be different this year.
“There’s one entrance into the parking lot and one exit out of the parking lot,’’ Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Christine Blomberg said. “This is all just a safety precaution because there are so many people walking.”
Some parade participants will be throwing candy for children watching, so children are encouraged to bring bags.
Registration for parade participants is $15 per float but will increase to $20 after Dec 1, and to $25 on the day of the parade. Participants can register at the Chamber office or by mail. They can download a registration packet or get more information online at www.hart-chamber.org.
