Richard Hoyt Henshaw Sr. (Dick), 91, of Hartwell, formerly of Atlanta, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, April 17, 2021. 
He was born February 21, 1930 in Atlanta, the son of Elbert Hoyt Henshaw and Mabel Coln Henshaw. He retired after 65 years serving as an Insurance and Investment Advisor. He served in the U.S. Army, Central Intelligence Core during the Korean Conflict.
Most important to him was his church and his role as a Sunday School teacher with young people and his opportunity to serve as a deacon. He loved people and enjoyed mentoring and encouraging those around him. He loved his family and spent his whole life caring and providing for them. 
He is survived by his wife, Betty Graves Henshaw; daughters: Debby Winship (Dillon) and Cindy Henshaw; son, Richard Henshaw (Georgeanne); five grandchildren: Anne Ishee (Jonathan), Katherine Fraser (Bryan), Dillon Winship IV (Leighton), Hoyt Henshaw (Britta), Chandler Edge (Dalton); and 10 great-grandchildren: Max and Sims Ishee, Addy, Hunter Vye, Ladson, Virginia, and Kayden Fraser, Georgia and Wakely Winship, and Lyla Edge.
    A graveside service was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, at the Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs with the Rev. Carter Tucker officiating. The cemetery is located at 201 Mt. Vernon Hwy. N.W. Sandy Springs.
