Geneva Bryant Stone, 96, of Canon, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021, at the Brown Health and Rehabilitation Center in Royston.
She was born on March 25, 1925, in Hart County, daughter of the late Terrell Jeptha Bryant and Della Rea Hilley Bryant. She was a homemaker and worked various jobs at Sunny Hill Greenhouse, cashier at Dill's Food City and an election worker. She was a member of Redwine United Methodist Church where she was active in the Redwine WMU, Minnie Poore Sunday School Class and the Redwine choir. Mrs. Stone was famous for her peanut brittle and pecan pies and enjoyed sharing her jams, jellies and candy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vandiver Stone, Jr.; grandson, Brad Whitmire; brother, T. J. Bryant; and sister, Mildred Bryant.
Survivors include her son, Mark Stone (DiAnne) of Canon; daughters, Sylvia Floyd (Dan), Betty Floyd (Mike) both of Canon and Robbie Whitmire (Tommy) of Bowman; grandchildren: Tammy Craft (William), Lisa LeCroy (Mike), Brandon Floyd (Rebecca), Robert Floyd (Angie), Melissa Farrell (Ken), Chris Whitmire (Tara), Chad Whitmire (Jennifer), Bren Stone (Samantha) and John Stone (JoAnn); 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and brother,  Judge George H. Bryant of Royston.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 29, in the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Brown and Rev. Lane Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until funeral hour on Thursday.  The family is at their respective homes.
Flowers are optional; memorials may be made to Redwine United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
