Now, 12 people are in law enforcement custody after a Hart County drug investigation revealed the alleged activity. Three of them are facing criminal attempt to commit kidnapping and murder charges, among others.
The Hart County Sheriff’s Office began a drug investigation last Tuesday (July 30) after someone complained of drug activity on Lewis Drive.
“This started with nothing but sure-enough, old-time investigation. Feet on the ground, and in this case, feet in the water. We literally went fishing,” Hart County Sheriff Mike Cleveland said.
Capt. Kevin White, along with several deputies, staked out a house on Lewis Drive from a pontoon boat on the lake, where they could get a better view of the home.
