We’ve all seen the videos.  An impatient cook drops a frozen turkey into the fryer and suddenly a raging inferno erupts from the pot as overflowing oil spills onto the open gas flames. Thankfully, the people who are responsible for keeping your house from burning down and treating your third-degree burns or stopping the criminal trying to take advantage of a holiday don’t take the holidays off. Disaster can strike at any moment, especially during the holidays.
“It’s one of those things that you know when you go to work in public safety,  that on holidays you may draw the short straw and have to work every one of them,” Hart County Sheriff Mike Cleveland said.
