Rodney Dean Maxwell, age 51, of Bowman, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Elbert Memorial Hospital following a sudden illness.
He was born on April 22, 1970 in Forest Park, Ga., to the late Wallace Maxwell and Joann Maxwell. Rodney was a farmer and loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith.
Rodney is survived by his sons, Justin (Kelsey) Maxwell and Michael Maxwell both of Bowman, Ga.; brothers, Lamar Maxwell of Forest Park, Ga., and Wade Maxwell of Orlando, Fla.; grandchildren, Talon, Tinleigh, Timber and Alexis Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12, in the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with the Rev. Kevin Vaughn and Rev. Leon Pierce officiating. He will be laid to rest at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Bowman. The family will greet friends on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday. The family will be at the home, 1100 Beaver Dam Road, Bowman.
