Reynold Hartmann
Reynold Edward Hartmann, 73, of Hartwell, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, S.C.
Born on December 6, 1947 in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was the son of the late Henry Frederick Hartmann and Dorothy Wetzel Hartmann. He was a groundskeeper for the Cypress Hills Cemetery in Brooklyn, an avid deep sea fisherman, and a U.S. Army veteran. He was also of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his son, Reynold C. Hartmann of Gainesville; one brother, Chuck Hartmann of Coxsackie, N.Y.; sister, Anabella Hartmann-Stancarone of Tampa, Fla.; granddaughter, Kimberly Hartmann Thornton (Nathan) of Knoxville, Tenn.; four nieces and nephews: Charles Hartmann, Michael Hartmann, Miranda Hartmann, and Victor Cumberbatch Jr. and his former wife and mother of his son, Helen Adams Banister. He was  preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Henry "Henny Boy" Hartmann; and sister-in-law, Migdalia Hartmann.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 18, in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Thompson officiating.  Burial was in the Cypress Hills Cemetery in Brooklyn.
