Opal Eugenia White Hill, 84, of Bowersville Highway, passed away Friday, October 18, 2019 under the care of Kindred Hospice.
Born on August 3, 1935 in Bowersville, Ga., she was the daughter of the late James P. White and Lillis Phillips White. Mrs. Hill was formerly employed with Carwood Mfg., Bellcraft Mfg., and Monroe Auto Company. She was the last surviving member of the Bowersville United Methodist Church and now a member of the Providence United Methodist Church. She was a Pink Lady for Cobb Memorial Hospital, Hart County Hospital and an American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Hill of Royston and Martha Baskins Webb of Bowersville; three grandchildren: Hank Baskins (Allison), Ben Webb, Rose Webb; and two great-grandchildren: Kate Baskins and Will Baskins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd William Hill; one daughter, Wanda Hill Nemeth; and one infant sister.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Monday, October 21, in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with the Rev. Richard Huycke and Mr. Hank Baskins officiating.
