Ken Evans

William Kendall "Ken" Evans, 70, of Clay Street, Hartwell, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019 at Hart Care Center.
Born on May 17, 1949 in Anderson, S.C., he was the son of the late Joe Evans and Elizabeth Vickery Stovall. Mr. Evans was formerly employed with Royston Mfg. and Beaulieu of America. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Gorman Evans; three daughters: Lori Lacount (Charles) of Anderson, Stacie Jewell (Derrick) of Toccoa, and Jill Robinson (Charlie) of Hartwell; one brother, Bobby Evans (Betty) of Hartwell; six grandchildren: Tara Bowers, Layla Stone, Paisley Robinson, Gracie Adams, Avery Robinson and Ella Adams.  He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Arthur Stovall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with the Rev. Ken Brewer officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Garden of Prayer.
