Harold J. "Andy" Anderson
Harold J. "Andy" Anderson, age 97, of Hartwell, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at his home. 
He was born on December 28, 1923 in Chicago, Ill., to the late Harold C. Anderson and Marguerite T. Matz. Mr. Anderson was a supervisor for the toll way in Illinois and a Veteran of the United States Military where he served in WWII and Normandy Invasion. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hartwell, American Legion, VFW, and AM Vets where he received service awards, and provided outstanding voluntary services. 
He is survived by his wife;, Dorothy Jean Goldenbogen Anderson; children: Harlene (Tom) Habel, Gail Beardsley (James), and Donna (Robert Dec) Colombani; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Anderson; sister, Dolores Anderson Siem; daughter, Sharon Joanne Anderson; and grandson, Robert Colombani, II. 
A Memorial Mass will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, August 23, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Hartwell, with Father Rafael Castano officiating. Public visitation was held Sunday, August 22, at Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street, Hartwell, from 2 to 4 p.m. Burial took place in the Sacred Heart Memorial Garden. 
Memorial donations can be made to the American Legion Post 109 at P.O. Box 513, Hartwell, GA 30643.
Coile and Hall Funeral Directors in Hartwell was in charge of arrangements.
