William J. "Billy" Wolpert, Jr., age 71, of Hartwell, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, S.C.
Born January 23, 1950, Fulton County, he was the son of the late William J. Wolpert, Sr. and Myrtice Wolpert. He was a U.S. Army Veteran with the 101st Airborne where he served in Vietnam. Mr. Wolpert worked for the Atlanta Gas Light Company.
He is survived by his wife, Molly Jo Wolpert; children: William J. "Joey" Wolpert, III, Pamela Wolpert, Stephaine Dean; grandchildren: Addibrook, Kenzie, Will, Alehia, Zerria, Kayson, Austin, Nolan and Preston.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home of Lavonia. Burial followed in the Lavonia City-Burgess Cemetery with military honors.
