Raborn W. Risner, 80, of Glendale Drive, Hartwell, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at his home.
Born on July 19, 1938 in Hartwell, he was the son of the late Webster Risner and Rosell Reid Risner. Mr. Risner was retired from Milliken/Newton Mills, where he was an instructor. He was also a member of the Hart County Camp, Gideons International, the Sardis Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School and was a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Chambers Risner, a son, Stanley Risner and Julia of Carnesville; two daughters, Elaine Bowen and Randy of Royston and Loretta Brown and Otis of Hartwell; a step-son, Mike Mosley and Phyllis of Hartwell; two step-daughters: Deborah Kennedy and Rex of Danielsville and Joyce Mosley of Roswell; a sister, Doris Crew of Dallas Ga.; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. Risner was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Hardy Risner and a brother, Guy Risner.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 4, in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell with the Rev. John Silver and Rev. James Sexton officiating. Burial was in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
