Jimmie Sue Fowler

Jimmie Sue Fowler
Jimmie Sue Fowler, 73, of Hartwell, Ga., died on April 7, 2019, from complications of diabetes, from which she struggled in recent years.
She was born in Dublin, Ga., on March 25, 1946 to Emory and Roberta Hatcher, the oldest of four children. She graduated from Dublin High School in 1965.
In 2009, Jimmie Sue made Hartwell her home. She found friendship and community in the senior apartment where she lived. Jimmie Sue was an industrious sort.  She was not afraid to try new and different things and was a hard worker. At various points in her life she worked in sales, hung wallpaper, drove a route truck for a uniform company, and most recently a hairdresser. She loved decorating and gardening and was always up for a project.
In Hartwell, she found a church home where she was loved and included. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by two daughters, Anissa Fowler (Norcross) and Dee Glazier (Ted); two sisters, Marcia Powell (Hartwell), Brenda Lamar (Pat) and a brother Ed Hatcher (Melanie).
Jimmie Sue requested that her body be donated to Emory University School of Medicine.  A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019, in Hartwell.
