Mrs. Floydell Bolman Barnes, 86, formerly of Hartwell, passed away Friday, June 7, 2019 at her son's home in Labach, Germany.
Born on June 27, 1932 in Royston, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Glen Bolman and Georgia Parham Bolman of Royston. Mrs. Barnes was a retired paralegal, working for Joseph Skelton Law Firm for 50 years and Gordon Law Firm for four years. She was a member of the Mt. Olivet Church of God.
Survivors include her two sons: Nathan Ken Barnes of Hartwell and Staff Sergeant Robert Barnes, USAF of Rhineland Pfalz Germany; and one step-sister, Kathy Wilson of Royston. Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her husband, Sam D. Barnes; a son, Samuel Lynn Barnes of Hartwell; a brother, Robert Edwards Bolman; and two sisters: Pauline Bolman and Mildred Maddox.
Mrs. Barnes will be returned to Hartwell, where the family will receive friends Friday, June 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Church of God Cemetery.
