Cleve Max Brown, 65, of Bob White Road, Hartwell, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson, S.C.
Born on December 26, 1952 in Spartanburg, S.C., he was the son of the late Max Joy Brown and Virginia Duff Brown. Mr. Brown was a graduate of Clemson University, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and retired as a Senior Electrical Engineer from Southern Company Services. He was also a member of the Hartwell First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly McCravy Emory Brown; his children: Josh Emory and his wife Meredith and Danielle Green and her husband Patrick all of Smyrna, Ga.; three grandchildren: Emory Caroline Green, Brooks Carlysle Green and Eliza Ruth Emory; a brother, Dan Brown of Beaufort, S.C. and two sisters-in-law, Mott Brown of Cornelius, N.C. and Debbie Davis of Beaufort, S.C. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ron Brown.
A memorial service celebrating Cleve's life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 14, at the Hartwell First United Methodist Church with Dr. R. Allen Stewart officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church gathering area.
