Man takes dip to elude cops

An alleged boat thief decided to take a three-hour dip in the lake before surrendering to authorities on Sunday.
Tyler Benton House, 33, of Cleveland, was arrested after allegedly attempting to steal a couple’s boat and jet ski from their dock at their home on Rainbow Drive — then swimming around in Lake Hartwell for three hours while law enforcement tried to apprehend him.
“That’s a first for me,” Craig Fulghum with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources said.
