The owners of a popular Japanese restaurant in downtown Hartwell say they have no plans of letting a fire that gutted the establishment on Aug. 9 keep them from reopening as soon as possible.
Treena Nguyen, co-owner of Little Japan, 113 Depot St., in Hartwell, said the outpouring of support she has received from the community after the fire early Friday morning has been touching.
“We love this community,” she said. “We love these people.”
