Stevie Kathryn Marissa Ankerich Bruce, 30, of Deerfield Lane, Royston, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021 at St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital, Lavonia.
Born on June 18, 1991 in Hartwell, she was the daughter of Gregory Eugene "Greg" Ankerich and Yvonne Michelle Hicks Ankerich, also loved her like a daughter Tammy Cleveland and Tommy Etheridge. Mrs. Bruce was a graduate of Lanier Tech with an LPN degree. She was employed with Athens Clinic as an LPN. Stevie loved being with family and friends and being a nurse. She also volunteered with both the Hart County Humane Society and the Bearded Villains.
Survivors include her husband, Travis Eugene Bruce; her fur babies: Diesel, Bella and Rocky; mother, Yvonne Ankerich of Homer; father, Greg Ankerich of Hartwell; one brother, Kenny Ankerich of Bowersville; one sister, Marlena Morgan Ankerich of Hartwell; maternal grandparents: Kathryn H. Smith of Lavonia and William "Shelton" Hicks of Anderson, S.C.; paternal grandmother: Sieghilde "Hilda" Ankerich of Bowersville; nieces and nephews: Devon Ankerich, Leilend Ankerich, Autumn Ankerich and Makinley Ankerich; a great niece and several aunts and uncles. She is also survived by two godchildren: Eli Thompson and Cam Price. Mrs. Bruce was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Billy Paul Ankerich.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 23, in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.
