Marjorie Jo Hutto Brown, 86, of Elberton Hwy., Hartwell, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Hartwell Health & Rehab.
Born on February 5, 1934 in Elberton, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Julian Jo Hutto and Elizabeth Hammond Hutto. Mrs. Brown was a 1952 graduate from Elbert County High School and a teller at First National Bank in Elberton for 42 years. She was also a member of Bethesda UMC, and was a former member of UMW, choir, and Mollie Brown Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her son, Rev. Doug Brown (Sharon) of Hartwell; three daughters: Janet B. Fleming (Steve) of Hartwell, Libby B. Hilley (Keith) of Canon, Dianne B. Stone (Mark) of Canon; 12 grandchildren: Josh Fleming (Maria), Will Brown (Austin Wyatt), Amanda Brown, Jarred Fleming (Kayla), Alisa H. Pilgrim (Lee), Bren Stone (Samantha), Julie F. Wilson (Carloyn), Phillip Hawkins (Katelynn), Ashley H. Munro (USMC 2nd Lt. Linden Munro), John Stone (Jo Ann), Sam Brown (Breanna Alexander), Robyn Venedam; and nineteen great grandchildren: Holden, Sarah, Gabriel, Danielle, Mason, Josee, Payton, Christian, Camryn, Graeson, Millie, Jackson, Charleston, Morah, Luke, Levi, Landon, Stella, and Brentson. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John William "Billy" Brown.
Because of the current conditions concerning the health and well-being of our community, the family will not be having a formal visitation.  They ask that everyone keep them in their thoughts and prayers in the coming days and weeks. 
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, at the Bethesda UMC Cemetery with the Rev. Michelle May officiating. 
Memorials may be made to the Bethesda UMC General Fund, 352 Bethesda Church Road, Hartwell, GA 30643.
