Miss Janet Lisa Wilson, 56, of Mt. Olivet Community, Hartwell, passed away Friday, November 8, 2019 at AnMed Health Medical Center, Anderson, S.C.
Born on November 3, 1963 in Hartwell, Ga., she was the daughter of Jimmy A. Wilson and Johnnie Fleming Wilson. Miss Wilson attended the University of Georgia and was a graduate of Brenau University with a Master's Degree in Education. Miss Wilson was the former Vice President of Student Services at Lanier Technical College, Gainesville, Ga., and she was a member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. She was also an avid Georgia football fan, and animal lover, very dedicated to her family and friends and dearly loved all things related to Princess Diana.
She is survived by her parents, Jimmy and Johnnie Wilson of Hartwell; one uncle, Hailey Fleming of Commerce, Ga.; one aunt, Lynda Robertson (Heyward) of Hartwell; and several cousins.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Webb, Rev. John Fleming, and Mr. Leslie Boles officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.
