Southern Hart Brewing Company will host the first ever HartOberFest on Oct. 26, on Carolina St. in downtown Hartwell.
The event will consist of a beer garden, live music, and many local vendors including a bouncy house and face painting. The event will kick-off at 10 a.m.
“It’s going to be a big, fun, family-friendly day to come out an enjoy the fall weather,” Susanne Barfield of Southern Hart Brewery said.
Beer will be served at the beer garden as well as at Southern Hart. Open containers will be allowed on the sidewalk between the brewery and Carolina St. Hamburgers, Barbecue sandwiches, bratwurst and pretzel necklaces will be served as well.
“If they want different kind of beer that we don’t have out there, because we will probably only have about three, then they can come in (to the brewery) and grab a beer and go back to enjoy more music,” Barfield said.
Music will run from 2-11 p.m. with local favorites Kate Hobson from 2-4:50 p.m., The Big Teach from 5-7:50 p.m. and Dead String Band 8-11 p.m.
This year’s event will raise funds for The Hartwell Service League Nicki Meyer Memorial Fund. For every Lake Hartwell Lager bought, Southern Hart will donate $1 to the fund.
