Fall break wasn’t much of a break for the undefeated Hart County Middle School volleyball team.
After winning Northeast Georgia Interscholastic Athletic Association’s region championship the week prior, the Volleypups set their sights on a North Georgia state championship, which meant little rest for the weary, said head coach Ashley Griffin.
“We played all through fall break,” Griffin said.
It was a week off from class for the team, which meant there was plenty of time to prepare for the competition they would face on Oct. 5 at Jackson County High School.
