Representative Doug Collins sent a letter this week to Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai urging an expedited decision in the appeal process regarding market modification petitions submitted by Franklin, Hart, Stephens and Elbert counties that would allow satellite television carriers in the area to air Atlanta stations.
The Media Bureau has approved the petitions submitted by the counties, but media stations in South Carolina filed a counter appeal against the petitions of Hart, Franklin and Stephens.
“I am encouraged that the Media Bureau has approved the petitions submitted by all four counties,” Collins said.
