4-H'ers compete at state cotton competition

Seven Hart County 4-H’ers competed in Georgia 4-H’s Area Cotton Boll and Consumer Judging Contest on Oct. 28 at the Chicopee Woods Agricultural Center in Gainesville.
The Junior Cotton Boll and Consumer Judging team from Hart County had students ranging from fourth to eighth grade and consisted of: Zeb Brister, Alex McBride, Katie Moon, Lily Moon, Emma Shiflet, Kaleb Waddell and MaryBeth White. As a team, they placed fifth overall at the area competition and Lily Moon was the high scorer for the team. They were coached by Georgia 4-H Certified Volunteers Amy Burns and Michelle McClain.
